About me

In my youth, I painted pottery professionally at Emerson Creek Pottery while going to school to be a graphic designer. I went on to spend years as a graphic artist and Art Director at Roanoke ad agencies, even winning a few ADDY Awards along the way. I have a strong background in the graphic arts, but my passion has come full circle back to holding a paintbrush.

My work is mostly about the energy around living things — the light and life that surrounds us. Every painting I create feels like a child of mine, brought into the world to share something meaningful.

I’ve been fortunate to attend multiple workshops under Alex Grey and Allyson Grey at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors and the Omega Institute, study with visionary artist Amanda Sage, and learn directly under Michael Fuchs of Vienna, son of Ernst Fuchs, the founder of Fantastic Realism. Continuing education is one of my favorite hobbies, and I am currently enrolled in the Mastery Program through the Milan Institute.

My paintings have hung at Art on First and the Roanoke Municipal Building. My originals and prints are in private collections across the United States.
